Buy a degreaser, car shampoo, wd40 and carnuba wax.
wash the atv with water then spray some engine parts with degreaser avoid plastic parts and rubber parts then rinse it with water, use car shampoo to remove mud and stain. Then rinse again spray some wd40 on mechanical parts on the engine to avoid stuck up and rust and lastly put some wax to plastic painted parts for shine and protection.

Try to avoid spraying too much water on things like bushings and bearings as well as the chain. Dont want water here. Also avoid spraying the radiator with high pressure water as it will damage the fins and make the rad less effective. If you ride in dusty, or wet conditions, or just wash the bike a lot make sure your bushings, bearings and chain are greased regularly. Obviously you need to keep grease to them anyways but dust and water will increase this regiment.

i spray it all down with water and then bring it in the garage and finish cleaning it in like 85 degrees so the water will dry faster.

If you want to clean your quad, it will be good if you're going to use a wax and a spray. After that be sure sure to have something to polish like a star brite.
