2007 YFZ450R. It's in neutral, good gas in it, new plug (CR8E), new air filter (No Toil), fresh oil and oil filter.

When I hit the start button, it cranks & cranks & cranks, but never fires up. I can push start it fine everytime but it never fires off the start button.

The previous owner had some carb work done and it won't idle whenever it does start. I have to stay on the throttle to keep it on. Even choked it doesn't idle. If I been riding for a while and it's well warmed up, I can throw it in neutral and it will idle for 2 or 3 minutes then cut off.

Also I noticed that sometimes my neutral light doesn't come on. I know I'm in neutral but the light only comes on sometime. One time it was on and would go off everytime I push the clutch in.

These are all my symptoms, can anybody help?

Like I been thinking since I bought it, I may need to get the Carbs cleaned and my idle adjusted.

Your carbs are dirty and it sounds like you have an electrical problem to.Check your neutral light wire it's probably loose underneath the body. Also, you can do as much oil changes & filter cleaning as you want but when your carbs are dirty nothing is gonna work unless you get it clean.

I dropped it off to my mechanic and just told him to make it work or I'm gonna recycle it. LOL

My air filter cage was broken and not screwed in which in turn allowed junk into my stuff. *@#$

My idle screw needed adjusting.

my battery terminal had the wrong screw in it causing some intermittent bloopers.

My valve wasn't closing all the way, prolly related to gunk coming in the air intake.

I don't have the time or passion to troubleshoot & wrench anymore. I just wanna ride. $100 and it's running like a champ.
