Its been a while since I have been for a good ride on my bike. I can't remember the last time i was up in the pits or at the make-shift track we got out home. I think its been about a year and a half. Anyway I finally got the bike back to almost 100% again. All I need right now is a seal that goes between the header pipe and the silencer.

The main problem I have been having lately is that I have not been able to keep my battery charged, mostly cuz it went dead and I wasnt home to charge it right away and I ruined my battery. I replaced the battery last weekend to find out the bike decided it didn't want to start...Was not impressed to say the least. I remembered how long I had the fuel there and decided to empty out my gas tank and put some fresh fuel in her. Still no go. Went out home today, took the carb off and cleaned it and put her back together and way to go. Stunk a little bit at first as she burned the carb cleaner out of herself but after that she came back to her old self.

This was about 3 hours ago now and im still bouncing off the walls just thinking about her engine purring once again. hoping to have that seal for next week, but with or without it im going for a good ride next weekend and earning some air miles up in the pit. Can't wait.

Anyway ladies and gents, keep it on all fours, or at least two:cool:

Good for you my boy your learning how a Women works when she doesn't get TLC:D ! You actually reminded me about my son's moped and why he couldn't seem to get it started in the beginning of this summer. He had the same problem because he rode the moped the whole summer & fall in 2008 and stored it in the garage until June 2009 without draining the fuel:mad: .The jest of the story is when we finally got the moped to start the smell was bad, old fuel just doesn't smell to good at ALL.Take a lesson before you store your bike or quad for a long period of time.Make sure that you drain the fuel and take the battery out or connect your battery to a battery Tender and that will keep the battery fresh till the next ride;) .Hey Demon Rider! make sure you have good time riding this weekend you deserve it you worked hard, now play hard!:D

Yeah, you women are awful particular when you don't get the right amount of lovin. A new battery, a bit of trouble shooting and a few hours in the shed to get to the carb and back, was what she needed.

I'm familiar with the whole gas going bad story and what I should be doing about it as I have to summerize my ski-doos after every winter. Usually I can get away without adding the stabalizer to my bike because here in Newfoundland our bike season is much longer than our skidoo season and the bike usually don't get laid up too long. Unfortunetly the outlaw seemed to have got stuck in the shed for way too long and the aformentioned problems happened. Regardless now, every time the snow comes her battery will be removed for the winter, gas burned out of her system and gas stabalizer will be in her gas tank.

Your also very right about the smell of old gas, and neither does carb cleaner. Unfortunetly when I got her started I couldn't walk away from her as she was burning out all the old crud because she still had a few butterflies inside and I had to keep throtling her or she would shut off. After a few minutes of really bad smell she was back to herself.

Still waiting for my exhaust seal, should have been here Monday, Oh well, with or without it i'm riding this weekend! Could be a little more noisy but at this point don't really care about that little problem too much.

Your funny! You had me dying laughing :D .She's happy now because you took care of her the way should have from the beginning. Now you know better don't ever leave her sitting there too long without some love cause she will rebel on you sooner or later.Kick one up for me when you go riding this weekend OKay?

Well what a weekend! Managed to get two rides in. The first one was interesting where I hadn't road in so long. Almost went back to square one. Anyways an hour or so into it I found that part of my head where I forget about the laws of phyics and gravity and started to have some real fun. Day two was just like a year ago, off the trailor and then started hitting whatever I could.

Needless to say she won't be left the way she was last winter this winter. Soon as the snow comes her battery will be in th house in the warm and her gas will be treated. Got some minor greasing I have to do now but thats nothing major. We tend to get a lot of rain in the fall here in Newfoundland so I will have plenty of days to do that.

P.S. I managed to land one of the jumps way back on my back tires and turn it into a sick wheelie, hows that for kickin one up for ya?
