Ok so may be i should have left it alone! but stripped a working LT80 down to re-spray frame and clean components, check bearings etc etc. did put it back together and it fired up, ran ok! but noticed that the throttle cable finto the carb was twisted and pulling the throttle open, so stoped quad, repositioned the cable and now nothing!

dont know if its stator, starter, relay or somthing else?

no noise from relay (no click etc) nothing!

Batt is okay and fully charged and connected.....

please help, son now killing me :(

lol. How many times have I started an easy job and ending up over my head. If you want to test your relay's go to this link (http://www.autoshop101.com/forms/hweb2.pdf). It will tell you everything from how they work, to what they look like inside and most importantly how to test them. You will need a multimeter though. You should be able to get one for around 40 bucks I think. It is a great tool to have.

Also check to make sure you didn't accidently knock the wires off of your kill switch, key or the like.

I just tried my link at for some reason it don't work. Not real big on computers. To find the page I was talking about just type "test relays" into google. The first one to come up after your search should be "UNDERSTANDING RELAYS" and it should have the same address as the link I gave in the post above. Click on "UNDERSTANDING RELAYS" and you will have all the information that you need.

Is this a new thing, or have you always had to pull start it? Anyways ,if you have spark with the pull-start then its a timing or carb problem. will it start with the pull-start after it has been run for awhile?
