Exhaust slip ons

Hello. I have decided that I want to get a slip on for my outlaw. My first choice would have been an FMF power core 4. Also I have been thinking about a big gun exhaust (no particular one) or a DG x2. Also my cousin had a power core 4 on his Suzuki bur he also had a power bomb header and it made the bike so much better. I know how much improvement I can get from a pipe and header but how much is there to gain by just getting a slip on? I will also note that it is mostly the low to mid range I want to improve. Already happy with top end. All comments welcome.

With the FMF slip on and the Dyno jet kit uni air filter I got about 7-8% hp gain low to mid and high range on the 250ex.Now if you want more hp you can get the HMF exhaust slip on kit but it'll be really loud and your neighbors will hate you because it's loud even with the quiet insert & even louder without it, I mean and annoying loud!
