Howdy, I'm new to the forum. I recently returned fro a 4 wheeler trip. My 07 450 Wolverine seemed to be seriously lacking in acceleration and top end. A 400EX smoked me. If it was not for the twisties I would of never caught and passed him. On the straights it was a joke. Any info would be of great help.

Welcome to the forum;) .The Wolverine was built more for trail riding and the 400ex was built more for competition, unfortunately that's why the 400ex got by you.Do you have any mods on it? The Wolverine is an awesome looking quad because it has that sporty & trail look and is a 450 but it has power for trail riding.I know how you feel cause no one wants to loose especially knowing that yours is a 450 and his is a 400.Next time go up against a trail bike like yours and I'll bet you'll smoke him:D !

I could smoke him on the trails but once we got onto the straights or accelerating from a stop it was ridiculous. When I purchased it I thought I was getting the YZF 450 motor. Any tips or expierences for additional power would be great. We are planning to go to Wisconsin again in August.
