remove axle, repair boot

Hey hey, I have a '02 arctic cat 500i and need to replace a inner cv boot. Now, I have been a auto mechanic for 15 years and have removed axles and replaced boots on 100's of different cars. I have removed everything I think is nessesary to remove the axle. the question I have is does the axle just pop out or is ther some sort of retaining clip inside the diff?
Any help?:)

on my dads grizzly, the axle just pops out, its splined inside so its a SOB to get back in!
