Pep Steering Stabilizer Or Dampener!?

i just bought this
is it a stabilizer or dampener
and how do i install it on my 04 400 ex

A stabilizer is a dampener, same thing.
On 400ex's it mounts up backwards, I think it goes to a front motor mount then other end tot he stem. Try trx450r.org or ATVriders forums someone with a 400ex can walk u through it.

You have aftermarket shocks on ur 400 by any chance?
