View Full Version : 93 yamaha warrior keeps dying please help

Hello, I'm new to this forum please help. I just bought this quad and was riding good for first three days and then all of the sudden it just died so i replaced the spark plug and it worked for a couple hours then ot died again i replaced the plug again it started but i would just die the only way it stays started for 10 seconds or so is if i keep the start button pressed does anyone know what the problem might be?? Thanks:confused:

I think your plug is very dirty where the spark plug goes into.If doesn't stay on it's because the spark plug connector is dirty and cannot continue to make contact after it sparks.Clean it out but be very careful how you clean it.Go to your local dealership and ask them what can you use to clean it just to be safe.

i have a new spark plug and the spark plug wire looks clean?

If it's clean then it must something else that's wrong.The reason why I said that is because I had the same problem with my spark plug wire and we found out that the wire was dirty.It could be that your carbs are dirty get it checked cause that's where your problem may be.

Is the plug wet or dry? did you check for spark?

it was dry and it does have spark i checked it

then ya you got fuel problems. thought it might be the stator.... had that problem with my 92 warrior
other people I know said it was their needle in the carb that was getting stuck
