Hello, I own an 04 suzuki ltz400. Whenever I start the bike with full choke, it only seems to stay on for about 5 to 10 seconds and then returns to normal idel ( no choke ) I was wondering if anyone would no how to solve this problem? thanks

Well I had an 03 z400. the chokes get messed up, due to the fact that it is mounted on the bars, water gets in the cable and carrodes. If it is affecting your starting take ur carb off clean it out real good w. carb cleaner, esp when the choke is. But if its not affecting you starting just let it warm up a little more b4 you ride it.

Do you mean that the choke turns itself off in a few seconds of running. If so I had the same problem. On my outlaw the choke is under the seat by my left leg and you just pull it out to turn it on/press it in to turn it off. When the bike would start the vibrations would cause the choke to turn off. Anyways my problem was I had to tighten up an adjusting nut behind the actual choke button.
