Last night after I replaced the bearings in the rear end of my bike I took her out for a spin and then my buddy wanted to go for a minute. So after the comment "for god sakes keep her on all 4s" I let him go. After about 20 seconds I look over and my Outlaw is on her side:( . This is the first time my bike has ever been laid down. Somehow I have managed not to flip a bike up to this point in my life. Anyway somehow I didn't flip out and kill him. We put her back up on her wheels but since it was dark out I couldn't really see what was and wasn't damaged. I did notice my clutch lever was cracked off and bent it. No biggie there really, it is to be expected after a rollover, but also the headlights wouldn't turn on nor would my neutral light and the starter wouldn't work. We pushed her back to my shed (thank god we were close) and sized up the situation. Somehow the plastic didn't brake, just scuffed a little where it rubbed on the dirt. After I jiggled with the unit that holds the killswitch/headlight/starter buttons my neutral light came on and I was able to start her but she shut off in about 2 seconds. That unit did take some of the impact so I think it may have frigged up the ground wire and now whenever that unit moves I think she looses her ground and the kill switch activates. Is this possible and would she be able to get enough ground to use the starter and still have nothing come from the headlights? Please Help
