2002 bombardier quest 650
just got it back from the shop for electrical issues and now it wont go past 30 mph also i might add that when you take off it dosnt have its usual pull that i have grown accustomed to transmission???? or possibly i have heard of a "limp home mode" that the quad switches into when it is low on oil but the oil is full as well as the coolant

If you just picked it up from the shop and this is the problem your having well, you need to bring it back to the shop but not the same one.Try going some where else.It sounds like they did something to your throttle & your acceleration. And also never leave the shop unless you test drive it first and if for some reason your not happy make sure they fix the problem so you can leave happy knowing that it's fixed & that you got your moneys worth.;)

To tell you the truth I think the mechanic did that on purpose so you could bring it back. With a problem that you never had from the begining. They definitly messed with your acceleration and or speed just so they can make more money on you.Got to get it fixed!

well the damn thing has been in the shop 3 times in the past month MY friend is tired of paying so much money for every trip to the MECH
I have a cr125 and i can fix most anything so i told him that i would try to figure out the problem for him and see if i can fix it myself
im just having a hard time with all the electrical crap im not used to dealing with it on a dirtbike there is just a coil and a tiny computer for timing and thats it
so you guys think it is throttle? what can i do to fix that

My husband used to be a mechanic for all kinds of motorcycles and I told him your problem. It's like I said from the beginning some one messed around with your throttle response & that's why your acceleration is too low. That's why you don't have that kick any more.If it's a dirt bike there should be a screw on the throttle cable near your handle bars play with it & see the type of response you get.My advice to you is to bring it to a qualified dealership and trust me your problem will be fixed.I know you or your friend are sick of paying to fix it but it's the only way to solve this problem.Remember, qualified mechanic.Any motorcycle dealership will fix it.
