OK so i have a race comming up in a few week and it will be my first on a quad.. NOT my first ever race. Up untill earlyier this year i raced dirt bikes, and i was ok...well my parents broke up and i dont have a bike anymore, well a family friend took me riding with his kid and a few friends one day.. and i rode his honda 400ex. This was my first time riding a quad on a track ever... well i put in a few laps and got pretty comfortable...Well after about 3 hours of riding, one of the top local riders showed up and we started riding and he was going full pace and so was I and i was keeping up!!! So the other day the guy stopped by and asked if i would like to race the quad at a local fair race in about a few weeks, If my mother agrees to it, im gonna do it.. so i need a ton of tips for the race.. For everything starting with starts, to jumping and maybe even a few corner tips...
also im very small for quads, 6'1'' 145lbs.

You sound like you already know what your doing as far as speed. But you need help with taking off at the start. It really depends at where your racing at but here's a few, make sure you walk the track first ,make sure you have a good position at that starting gate and always pack the dirt behind your rear wheels so you don't loose time spinning out at the gate that will help you out a lot when taking off it's very important! Practice with your friend at the track, on blocking at the corner turns so you could get an advantage on passing. That's just a few, but a little bit helps.;)

If you already know how to race, than your best bet is to get used to the quad. They handle a little different than a dirtbike as they are bigger and heavyer. But at least you havn't got to worry about laying her down. Ride everyday and experiment to see what gives you the best result in the turns and the jumps.
