my quad wont idle!!

hello, sorry to start a new thread but ive searched all the threads and i cant find one like this! I have a honda 250 ex, its a 03', and its an aoutmatic. Everytime i fire it up it will idle in neutral but when put into 1st gear it will jump and shut off! I do a LOT of wheeling and i know its an older bike but i would like to get a couple more years out of it. It just started doing this recently but ive had the quad for 3 years(dad got it from a friend)!! Any suggestions or answers to the problem??

Sounds like your clutch is sticking....

its an automatic, no clutch, just straight shifting...

It has a sport clutch, semi automatic, when you rev it, it engages the clutch, when the clutch sticks its engaged all the time.... I'm a honda factory trained technician. Will see if i can get you a pic of how it works.:)

is there anyway i can fix that, or take it apart?? ive done a lil research and people were saying about the carb being clogged and the lines running from the carb could be clogged up, idk?!

Dont understand why it would jump and stall if it was the carb or fuel system, would just cut out... tried to put a picture up but its too large and forum won't allow, if you give me a email address i'll send it to you...:eek:
