First, I tried searching but didnt come up with anything. I have an 05 400ex. Ever since the last time I rode, theres been a clicking sound coming from the axel/sprocket area. It happens when its in neutral and is pushed. Sounds like a 10 speed bike when your coasting.. I powerspray the quad every time I ride so I dont really think its debris, but it might be. It sounds mechanical.. not like random garbage bouncing around in gears. Any ideas?? Thanks

Hi, jack your quad up, first at the front, turn the wheels, check for play and the noise, if no noise, let it down and jack up the rear of the bike, check that your rear hubs aren't loose on the ends of the axle's, they're held on by one nut in centre of wheel... turn the wheels and see if the noise happens, if it does check your chain isn't tight or seized and that the chain isn't jumping on the teeth of the sprockets. If it isn't that then pretty sure to be your rear axle bearings are on their way out, if you want to pm me your email address i can send you the honda technical manual exploded diagram so you can see how to strip it and rebuild it.... hope this is of help, grae73

Thanks grea, I'll run thru those steps and see what I come up with. If it turns out being the axle bearings then I'll def need that diagram. Thanks!
