Hi the other day the driveshaft going from the box to the front diff starting clunking loudly when driving, i can see that the shaft moves a bit out of the box then clicks back in:S, what would cause this? Thanks

could be a couple of things. First, make sure your ujoint is ok. If the shaft is working back and forth it is probably a bearing on the input shaft to the differential. Lock the rear brakes in fourwheel drive, jack the front end off the ground and move the front wheels, both at the same time and see what the shaft is doing. Also, take it out of 4x4 and roll the front tires and listen for any bad noises in the differential. Might give you a clue as to what is going on.

Might flush the oil out and look for metal, that is usually a good indication of failed bearings.
